No visit to Turkey would be complete without a trip to Istanbul, the only city in the world situated on two continents. Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul – its three names span more than 2600 years, nearly 1600 of them as the capital of two greatest empires the world known as Byzantine and Ottoman. Here you will visit the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Hippodrome, where chariot races and the Byzantine riots took place. Complete the experience with a trip to the Grand Bazaar, where you will undoubtedly find beautiful gifts for your friends and family as well as unique items to adorn your home.
Fly to Cappadocia and descend into the center of the earth into Kaymakli, one of the largest and deepest Underground Cites. Visit Avanos, center of terra cotta works of art since 3000 BC and see traditional pottery workshop demonstrations. Visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum and witness the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia in rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings (10th to 13th century.) In Pamukkale visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai. After visiting the Mausoleum of Mevlana, visit the world-wide famous mystic and later drive to Pamukkale to swim in therapeutic thermal pools.
Complete the journey by visiting the ancient city of Hierapolis & Pamukkale where you will see ancient Theatres, The Apollo Temple and the magnificent graveyard in Necropolis. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them visitors will see The State Agora, Odeon, Memnius Monument, The Temple of Domitian, Polio Fountain, Curetes Street, The Trajan Fountain, The Baths of Scholastica, Hadrian Temple, Latrina, Celcus Library, The Gate of Mihridates and Mazues, Commercial Agora and The Grand Theater. Finally guests will visit The Acropolis of Pergamon then continue driving to the mythological city of Troy, home of the “Trojan Horse” and “Helen of Troy.”
